PLEASE HELP ME!!!

I volunteer at the PDSA shop in Sunderland so I am always meeting people that the PDSA have helped in the North East. Many of the people I have met who rely on the PDSA are older people with companion dogs and cats, many have no living relatives and are living on tiny pensions. Without the PDSA these people would be totally alone.

Your money will be going to help pets that need expensive veterinary treatment that their owners cannot afford.

Visit www.pdsa.org.uk to learn more about the PDSA.

I am participating in a sponsored 200km horse ride in central Mongolia during August 2006. Please sponsor me and help the PDSA continue preventing animals suffering needlessly.

PLEASE PLEASE VISIT www.justgiving.com/PDSAlizzy AND SPONSOR ME 50P.

If everyone who sees this message donates just 50p my target of £2000 will soon be met. That's £2000 towards sick and injured pets whose owners cannot afford to have them treated.

I promise this isn't a scam ~ see for yourself by visiting www.pdsa.org.uk/challenge and follow the links to the Mongolian Horse Trek Challenge ~ your donation doesn't come to me, it goes straight to the PDSA ~ donating using this website will enable the PDSA to claim back 28% on top of what you donate at no expense to you.

Please link directly to this blog from your space to raise awareness of the PDSA.

Thankyou for your help from both me and the PDSA xxxx

Over a month...

Well It's been over a month since I've last bothered to put anything in here, but never mind.

A few things have happened: I got an interview for the library job I applied for but I didn't get it in the end, but they were so impressed with me that they put me in the staff pool & have since been offered another library job (which I couldn't take as it clashed with my uni times sadly)

I went to see the Stereophonics quite a while ago, they were pretty wicked. Dave bought me a yellow T-Shirt. Thinking of going to see The Prodigy soon, depends what money is looking like.

Stupid uni has fu**ed up my registration making my loan ridiculously late - it was supposed to be in my bank on the 19th September, and I'm still waiting.

I got a job in the e-commerce dept of Littlewoods and started training last saturday. The job looked like it was gonna be ok, but I couldn't stand being with all the 16 year olds who clearly didn't give a sh*t about the job and made the training 3 or 4 times slower than it needed to be because they were discussing how much alcohol/drugs they could consume in 5 minutes at the New Monkey (Really dodgey shit hole club for local mackam Chavas, has been closed down twice that I know of due to murders/stabbings/drugs related deaths on their doorsteps) so I quit. Just hoping something else will come along soon... Probably will be applying for a job with the Royal Mail as a data entry clerk - reading badly written addresses and entering them in the computer, temporary until xmas, but it's some money.

Umm apart from that I really haven't been doing much at all. I moved back to sunderland (as most already know) on the 3rd of sept and most of my time has been taken up sorting stuff out with the new flat. We have a broadband connection being activated tomorrow so no doubt I'll be online a lot more from that point!!

Oh and Dave & I got a new baby hamster a few days ago. We called him Borris and he is white and ginger. He is really really laid back and likes to cuddle up with us on the bed when we watch TV like a cat! I'm sure I'll be putting some pics up soon!

Anyway everyone, take care and I'll speak to you all soon no doubt!!

Feeling a bit fed up

Today, the weather is miserable so I can't ride. Well actually I could but I'd get soaked and I'm certainly not in the mood for that. No one is bidding on any of my stuff on eBay (well OK I have 3 bids meaning I'm gonna get about £5) and I need the money badly. My Step dad is being a tosser. Still. I'm sooo skint it's untrue. It's one of the local carnivals on today, which is usually a really good laugh, but I have no money, no way of getting there and no friends to be there with. God this sucks.

So here I am bored and staring at my broken laptop screen. That's enough to depress me anyway!!

I should really start with packing for heading back to uni in Sunderland on Saturday. The problem with packing with plenty of time & not rushing it is that you end up unpacking a lot of it again because you forgot you were gonna use something before you leave. At least if you leave it to the last 1 or 2 days before you go, you can be pretty sure both those days are going to be only filled up with packing, so you're unlikely to need to use anything you have already packed. Does that make sense? I think I'm going a little crazy around the edges today.

Today and yesterday I have mostly been listening to Matchbox 20. Formerly known as Tabitha's Secret and now Rob Thomas (lead singer & song writer) is doing a bit of solo work... why is it that even the music I listen to is confusing these days?

Hmm well I guess all there is for me to do now is listen to some music and draw a doll. I haven't used my new pen with my graphics tablet yet, so this should be fun!

I have already mentally made some new purchases in preperation for my next Student Loan installment. A gorgeous faux fur lined, embroidered & hooded brown suede gillet from New Look (classy Chick me) age 13 (Still can't believe I've lost so much weight, I'm like size 10 now... haven't been this small since I was 13 or 14 myself lol) and again from New Look a gorgeous brown leather fitted blazer. So that's £85 down the pan already... then there's the dress maker's dummy I'm hoping for.... I think I'm gonna stop now for 2 reasons 1. because I will very quickly mentally spend the entire student loan cheque I'm due in September, then I'll have to choose what I prefer to have; 2. because this is very, very sad. I need a life. No, OK I have a life... I wish our lives were like the Sims, then I could just add an expantion pack et voila! Massive improvements all round. Oooooh and I could find myself a cheat to give me loads of money... now that would  be handy!

LIFE SUCKS.
26 août

So, 21 at last

I have to ask, how did anyone know it was my birthday? Ok, I must have let it slip somewhere

I had a great night out on Saturday, just had a few friends there and we had a few drinks and a lot of dancing...

And my actual birthday on Monday was good fun too, we headed off down to a horse equiptment shop, where I got a new saddle! It's even better than those on my wish list & I'm just sooo pleased with it! So there's another item crossed off my wish list...

My gorgeous Dave got me a wicked little Sony digi cam, so beware, there will be a lot more photos on here from now on! It's so cool, it even has an adaptor so i can plug the memory card straight into my laptop! Not having to untangle wires will definately mean a slightly less stressed out Lizzy...

Well I've been busy applying for more jobs today as I'm heading off to Sunderland a week tomorrow. I'm kinda looking forward to it and kinda not, as I have no money to even buy any food with when I get there  So hopefully I'll get myself a job pretty sharpish or I'll be starving to death pretty quickly!

So anyway, off to Sunderland in just over a week. This summer has gone so fast, its scary.

Let's hope the uni and my LEA have sorted themselves out! Or I won't be going back to uni at all!!
